Previous Canon user; this camera did not have the 18-135 lens, but a third party lens. Can't beat CANON quality, reliability, and ease of use. Bought the T2i for a backup to another camera system. Been using Canon since 1973 and although I've tried other brands, this company always is a winner. People can shop and compare, but it all boils down to how it feels in your hands, the balance between camera and lens, flash units, and most of all ease of use. And definitely you don't need the highest price camera to produce a good image - the Rebel series is a good starting point for beginners as well as a seasoned professional.
I love the image quality and like that it has a mic jack. I do not like that it does not have a flip out screen.
