I bought this monitor to match the monitors my employer bought to equip the office as part of the company's most recent computer upgrade, so I could have the same setup for my laptop in my home office. The ViewSonic is great for what it is: a relatively inexpensive monitor with great image quality and a compact set of powered stereo speakers built into the base so that a complete A/V setup takes very little space. What I liked best about this monitor, and I wish more manufacturers would imitate, is the excellent matte finish of the display screen. There is absolutely zero glare or reflection on the screen from ambient light in any direction. Also, if you're unfortunate enough to work or use it in a place where people haven't got the sense to keep their chubby little grimy fingers off the screen, it won't show fingerprints, and it cleans up perfectly with a quick wipe from a damp paper towel. I love this ViewSonic monitor! I hadn't heard much about the brand, but I'm glad that I took the chance on it. It seems to be a great value! I also had an Acer, but I returned it. The clear IPS on the Viewsonic makes the text pop, and I like that it doesn't have a frame around the edge. Works great for me. The colors seem true.
