Initially I could not get the PC to recognize this monitor and so could not the the resolution corrected, this seems to be a very common problem in internet reviews. The Monitor works but the PC will not recognize the new Monitor, so I removed and reinstalled the monitor paying particular attention to the cable connections getting them as tight as possible which corrected the problem.

I bought this one as a match to an existing identical VG2230MW that I've had about 2 years. I like ViewSonic. I've had issues with another monitor (I have 5 various ViewSonics altogether) that they took care of without any problem. I use these monitors for business purposes and have this pair side by side on the same video card. They have good color and sharp letter definition for long term viewing without a lot of eye strain. This model has built-in speakers that I've never used, so I'm not sure about their quality. I have noticed a difference between the white areas on the old vs new monitor. The new one has a whiter look, even after tweaking contrast and brightness, that I attribute to age and use. Other than that, it performs flawlessly and has no dead pixels. I especially like the swivel base feature and the ability to raise the monitors to eye level. As I meet with people I can easily position a monitor for their view by simply swiveling it around and lowering it as necessary.Read full review
This a great monitor I am a certified graphic artist and it is high enough quality for my work or just regular usage. I have not found any flaws with it, it is great to be able to open two windows side by side.
"Refurbished Monitors" The factory-refurbished monitors listed were a disappointment for us. One of three was accepted but with some resolution how many hours used. One monitor was all scratched up! it looked very used. The second monitor opt switches did not worked. In conclusion the cost offset savings ($55-$75) for new monitors was not worth the hassle.
Very good monitor, sharp colors and pictures, love height/swivel adjustement. Very nice if you need a LCD monitor
