I bought this to make sure that I could connect to the internet at as fast of speed as posssible with my cable company and it definately lives up to its hipe. I had a few problems getting it connected, because, as it turned out, that the cat5 cable wasn't always makeing connection. Once I straightened this problem out, every thing took off and has/is running smoothly. I had a G router and pci card before, and this just leaves a G in the dust. It seems to have as many controll features as a person would want to make a very secure network. It's no longer listed on trendnet's sight, but I think that if you get your hands on one, you'll definately like it.
This is a good, inexpensive work-horse router for the home user who doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles. If all you need is a wireless router to supplement your DSL or Cable modem, this will do everything you want...and will smoke your old Wireless G router in both speed and in range of reception. In short, this router was designed for the basic home user. Those who want or expect more capabilities from a wireless router should look elsewhere...at a much higher price.
The Manuel didn't help(Except for the first part). Without the manuel I easily installed it. I thought it wasn't going to work but then *SNAP* it popped to life. My speed improved a little. Great Wireless Item. Overall great item, USELESS MANUEL.
easy to set up- hooked up and had up and running within 15 minutes. works great with 4 computers, 2 wireless devices, and my magic jack. great bargain router
This is a Good product, plugged it in and the software took over, and coupled everything correctly. We were on-line in 10 minutes
