I owned this great camera before and after many years of continual use, the film holder began to slow. I bought the same camera, NEW on Ebay! I love the simplicity and ease, takes great pictures and the convenience of dropping off the 35 mm film for processing. I am already sick of sitting on a chair going through the digital pictures and processing them myself. I also have a KONICA MINOLTA 35 mm 160 zoom. It is junk compared to the qaulity of the Olympus. Hands down - I love my Olympus!
These are a nice little Point and shoot with the unusula feature of having a very large zoom range, up to a 140 MM Telephoto.. With film cameras being out of favor they represent excelent value although the zoom motor makes far more noixe than It should and I have one with the lens door broken from application of too much force. A well thought out design, some of them going up to a 140mm Telephoto.
I've had mine for 8 years now, it's been in the mountains on ski trips, on boats, in the jungle and recently in the desert. The lens is extremely sharp-maybe a bit too sharp for some portraits! If you take the time to learn its secrets, it will do a great job. And I was able to get my film developed several times during my recent trip-I shared my pictures before all the digicam folk did! The Stylus Epic Zoom 80 is also excellent, BTW.
I bought this camera for my wife many years ago and she loved it because it took great pictures and is small in size. The camera lens is very sharp and it renders colors very accuratly with great contrast. I had a very expensive Canon SLR and I found myself using her Olympus point and shoot more times then I like to admit. Great little camera that won't disapoint you. I paid a lot for the one I bought back before digital cameras were popular and with these cameras selling so cheaply now they are a steal if you want to still shoot film.
This is my favorite camera. I have had a few, but this has been a work a holic. Still takes great shots. For a all in one camera this one is a great purchase. The Zoom is good as is, the option to add the date or time is also a nice feature.
