Honestly, I bought it to replace one I had in the past. However, let's face it -- this is the digital age. I bought some film and took it to be developed. The guy at the camera shop told me that he only turns on his machine to develop film once a week and in another couple of years he wouldn't even have the machine anymore. Not only that, it was kind of expensive too. About .60 cents per print as opposed to .9 cents from a digital camera's memory card. I won't be using this oldie but goodie too often.
