This is my second modem/router of this model. I replaced the typical DSL and Cable modems that are supplied by various companies with these NetGear models because they have have parental control that is super easy to setup and use. Plus the ability to switch bewteen DSL, Cable and even Fiber is a huge bonus. Good wifi range and again easy setup even with wps. I think NetGear has done the best job of making all these interfaces simple and easy to setup, however their quality is not bad but does not seem to be as good as others, They break easy in my opinion from drops or even a small amount of damage or liquid. This model does get warm but not hot and it's pretty large compared to other devices like it. Also the ability to use an external USB drive as a sort of media/file server is great, however I can't seem to get very good speeds (500kps) this way but it could be on my end and I've not been in a hurry to resolve it as it's not used often but it's a good feature none the less... So I would give it 4 1/2 STARSRead full review

I don't recommend this Netgear modem/router others are less $$ with more features look for ww-drt upgrades for better connectivity.

We have Frontier (the worst) for our DSL, the only choice in our rural area. Speed of 1.3M max. Download test average of .30M. With a whopping charge of $8 a month rental for their modem. I bought this DGNG3700 to eliminate Frontier's ridicules fee. This modem is fantastic! Manage to sqeeze little more download speed and love the Genie Program for network management with a dual band 2.5 and 5. This modem/router is fantastic for an older model.

This is just what someone needs. It is fast unlike my AT&T, good looking, several ether-net ports, many wifi that is 2.4 and 5.0 Mhz. has the channels for the high Mbps and the latest protocols. If it wasn't for the two calls to At&t and a disconnect after a long hold totaling an hour to get my username and password for my dsl; yes it is a dsl modem a dead technology according to AT&T( they really were pushy with their fiber optics and phone for $120 per month) the setup was a piece of cake and the netgear waited for that infor put it in and it was up and running set-up wifi also easy. Was a great price and works and looks new, pretty and elegantly clean with few wires and is cool to the touch. Very happy with it!

This Modem/Router Combo is the best its easy to setup Easy to Access and reliable it also is versatile where you are not only able to Access it through Wired and WIFI you are also able to Acess USB Flash drives through it one drawback is that you may need Adapters for your 5GHz connections but there are several that NetGear makes among them Dual Band ones But you may not want to use the 5GHz Connection unless you Have an Signal Extender also made by NetGear All in all its the Best answere out there for those needing both a Modem and Router Combo, also its cheaper than buying both as well as the top performing Modem/Router Combo out there
