A few years before the "digital era" Canon, Fuji, Kodak, Yashica, Nikon and others came out with hundreds of these point and shot, pocket cameras, from simple focus free cameras, to complex and advanced auto focus, zoom lenses cameras like the one I'm reviewing now. The Canon Sure Shot 130U is an advanced auto focus film camera with a zoom lens (38-130mm) and automatic flash. The lens is not very bright (f/5.6 -12.5) but is enough for most situations and the automatic flash works great in those situations where you need more light. Some of the features are: 38-130mm f/5.6 -12.5, 3.4x zoom lens, powerful flash unit and an integrated metering and focusing system (AE/AF), a 16-zone metering sensor to detect back-lighting, exposure compensation of +1.5 or -1.5 stops. The pictures coming from this small camera are amazing, and if you have good light, you won't notice the differences between this camera and a SLR. The reason I put 5 start to this camera is because the price as 2009. You can get an excellent used one for the same price you can buy a disposable camera. Also, I had not tested build quality, but for this price, even if the camera breaks after a few months, you can buy another one. I do own many cameras, digital and film, DLSR and pocket and I got this one to take with me without having to carry a heavy weight and when I want to shot film. If you want a film camera for general photography, family, travel, small that can fit in your pocket and extremely cheap, this is the perfect camera. If you want all these features but you also want a faster lens, you should look for the OLYMPUS STYLUS EPIC 35mm f2.8.Read full review

I bought this as a gift for my mother. I knew that a digital camera was more than she needed. I bought this, and it is easy to use.

Needed to replace another film camera and this one fits the bill. Easy to operate and takes good pictures also.
