Update 9-14-12 We have now taken well over 100,000 excellent photos with our 3 A77s. We've also added the new Sony 18-135 to our arsenal of fine lenses. The 18-135 is of the same build quality as the 16-50 and replaced my beloved Minolta 28-135 legendary lens. The photos we have taken with our Sony SLT- A77s have earned us a lot of excellent shoots with more coming in daily. 10 of our photos were featured in a soon to be released video for a new song that will be playing on every radio station in the country. We are professional photographers and with a business budget could have bought any camera we wanted, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, whatever. We chose to buy our 3rd Sony A77 because of its outstanding performance through over 60,000 professional photos. We really love the awesome Sony 16-50 lens with the silent focus video and we keep 2 of them mounted on our 2 main cameras. We shoot weddings, parties, corporate events, bands, and concerts. We are the official photographers for the Rock Legends Cruises! The SONY SLT-A77 camera and SONY 16-50MM 2.8 lens go together like peanut butter and jelly. we are amazed at the speed of this combo and the sharpness and color rendition from the SONY 16-50 lens. The lens could have easily been classified as a "G" lens and sold for $100 more. We bought 2 of these Sony SLT-A77s in 2011 to replace our SONY A55s and we feel that the much larger investment was well worth it! We have no dislikes about the camera and we feel that there is no competition with this huge range of features anywhere this price range. The photos are sharp and the color explodes off the screen. The continuous shooting of 12 frames per second is incredible and the HD video looks just like what you get on cable HD TV. We highly recommend this camera and lens. Very versatile and easy to use camera with complete control. Only con would be battery time so would recommend that you have a couple of extra batteries fully charged up. Awesome for all types of photography and exceptional in action photography.

I had before Sony Alpha 55 and I was looking for something better from Sony as well! So I found Alpha 77 as best one from Sony DSLR! This camera's much better and I do really like it! It's very fast and it have excelent quality of pictures which I was looking for! So I can personally recomend this product as great one with a good price on it!!!
